Each year when celebrating Harmony Day at Chrysalis, it is always such a pleasure to see the children dress in traditional costumes and families bringing in food from their respective countries to share with others. It is refreshing, as the children wear their national costumes and show off their traditional food with pride. This year we explored the cultural tradition of the Chinese New Year.
At Chrysalis we encourage students to share their own cultural backgrounds with their classmates, which can help to promote pride in their heritage and a sense of belonging within the school community. By celebrating diversity and promoting inclusiveness, we can help to create a safe and welcoming environment for all students, which is essential for their academic success and emotional well-being.
