Wet Weather Sport Fun

The start of Term 3 Sport has been a mixed bag with the weather, and limited time to prepare for the sports carnival in week 7! With the wind and rain Tuesday morning, Spitfires and Swordtails engaged in some old fashioned parlor games; jacks (knuckle bones), pick up sticks, quoits and pétanque. These games have wonderful qualities of fine motor control, timing and coordination, which many of the students discovered to be somewhat challenging!

Children’s House were able to get out in much different weather and were able to practice running races, the sack race and egg and spoon! So good to see so much fun being had while practicing such important fundamental movement skills!
